In this book we present the contributions from the International Research Symposium on PBL (IRSPBL2021), organised by the Aalborg UNESCO centre for PBL in Engineering Science and Sustainability.

The contributions cover a number of relevant topics: blended PBL environments and online learning; sustainability, creativity and interdisciplinarity; PBL implementation for professional competence development; assessment and management of change.
